Ransom Adventure #4

So there I was sitting in space cloaked having just scanned the system and getting ready to run over and run a combat site since the system was empty when all of a sudden, dun DuN, DUN!!!!!  Real life called and I had to step away for a little while.  I return to the system to discover people in local and probes on scan.  But what's this?  There's an Astero on scan!  (Not to be confused with the Stratios which is what I did last time.)  Grabbing my trusty vengeance I zoom to the site I had scanned down previously.

Ransom Adventure #3

It's not all the time you flutter about your system and see a Stratios on scan several times.  Deciding to try my luck I pull out some combat probes, mark the Stratios' location and hope he missed my quick scan.  I decided to for-go my Legion in favor of my Vengeance because I though a legion would be a little overkill.  I also thought this was the Astero and not the Stratios XD

Landing close I begin targeting only to have him cloak, thinking fast I start clicking frantically at his last known location.  Getting lucky I de-cloak him and start my target lock once again.

Ransom Adventures 2

Though my skills may be a little rusty, I am a pirate and I try to be the best pirate I can be.  Sometimes it just doesn't work out and you end up not making any ISKies for your trouble.

So I had the opportunity to try out my pirating skills.

Signals in the Void 6

("Signals in the Void" is my attempt at an in character fan fiction revolving around my adventures in exploration.)

As the rest of the science and salvage crews finish transferring over to the station and our small base camp, I move the Arbitrator back away from the station and head towards the group of spaceship wrecks we found earlier, while we wait for our inside teams to finish their preparations.  I think starting with the smaller ships will be a good approach and maybe help determine who was on which side.

Pirate? Carebear? Pirbearate!

Something I've noticed about my killboard is that it contains a lot of losses.  Eve online is one of those games where people devote a huge amount of focus to being efficient.  One of those ways is comparing your killboard by the amount of destroyed ISK versus the amount you lose.  While there are loop holes to the system, it works reasonably well.  What I like about Stay Frosty is that we aren't focused right now on having a good killboard with high efficiency.  While it is a goal for all members to work towards, not because it is mandatory or required but because it gives a good indication of how well you are improving.  If a good killboard was required I wouldn't be in the coolest pirate corporation around.  The reason for this is that I am a "carebear" and players do not react the same way NPC's do.  Unless something happens this is what my current progression looks like.

There Is No Consent

Some believe that just by playing Eve Online, one consents to PvP.  I could only find two documents that one has to accept that would prevent you from playing the game, those are the EUL and the TOS.  No where could I find a statement that even resembled consenting to participating in PvP.  So if a player undocks his ship he hasn't consented to anything that involves your entertainment.

Practicing My Yarhar

When I started this blog I had considered some options in what I would write about.  I'm pretty sure 100% of those options entailed some sort of pve like missioning or exploration with occasional forays into low or null sec to do some of these pve activities with a greater risk for running into other players.  I'll be honest, if I did run into any other players we certainly wouldn't sit down and have a cup of tea.  The end result would probably be me shipping up in a new ship while a bunch of you started hemorrhaging at the kill mail.
